Impendle Economic Revitalisation Project

Impendle Economic Revitalisation Project

The Impendle Economic Revitalisation Project aims to support an African female landowner in developing a shopping mall on her 6-hectare plot in the Impendle Town Area. The mall will serve as an economic hub, providing retail services and creating jobs. UMEDA is assisting the landowner with mentorship, funding, and development processes to ensure the project’s success.

The project is currently in the planning and mentoring phase and will be funded primarily through private sector investment. The total cost of the project is R200,000,000 for construction, infrastructure, planning, and mentorship.

The project will provide economic, social, and environmental benefits, fostering local development, job creation, women’s empowerment, and improved infrastructure in the Impendle Municipality.
