The Howick Falls Upgrade aims to revitalize the Howick Falls tourism precinct, enhancing its appeal as a key tourist destination in the Midlands. The project focuses on improving facilities, safety, and environmental conservation while making the site more accessible and enjoyable for visitors. Key developments include the construction of walking paths, viewing platforms, interpretive signage, and other tourism infrastructure.
The project is in the construction phase with funding of R10million funded by EDTEA. The project is expected to create Multiple jobs, mainly in construction, tourism services, and environmental management.
The Howick Falls Upgrade is expected to make the site a top tourist destination, benefiting the local community and driving long-term economic development in the Midlands.
